After school, Chris and I made the trek to Busan! We took the KTX train down and arrived around midnight. We took a cab to our hotel and walked along the beach before calling it a night. Being by the beach was amazing. I absolutely love the ocean and fell in love with Busan. We stayed on Gwangalli Beach which reminded me a bit of White Rock, because you had the beach, a road allowing cars a single lane each way then restaurants lining the strip. The next morning, we had a delicious breakfast then decided to head to Taejongdae Park as our co-worker recommended that we check it out.

We ended up taking the bus the wrong was to get to Taejongdae Park, so it took longer than expected to get there. Also, because it was a holiday weekend, there were tons of people there! But we eventually made.
While enjoying the view below, we saw five wild dolphins jumping out of the water!!

It was a very beautiful park and I'm glad we went. Unfortunately I started feeling my sore throat again. It had been two days of being off the medication (yes, I took the full cycle of it). I went to the pharmacy and they gave me some anti-inflammatory and pain killers. So that night, Chris met up with our other friends that were in Busan and I watched a movie in the hotel room and went to sleep early.
The next day, I woke up with an even worse sore throat and was determined at any cost to see a doctor that day. I waited until Chris got up, then we grabbed a bite to eat while sitting on the beach. Afterwards, we got into a taxi and he brought us to a nearby hospital. It didn't take too long to see a doctor which was nice, but we ended up staying there for a good few hours as the doctor put me on a IV as well as gave me two shots of something in my hand.
We made friends with the boy in the bed next to me who at one point went to see his mother who was on another floor and then came back with vitamins for us! It was so sweet. It felt like forever for the IV bag to drain into me but it finally finished, I got a prescription from the doctor and headed to the pharmacy already feeling significantly better. The only worrisome part was when I told the doctor I was allergic to penicillin and he looked very worried like he wasn't sure what to do/didn't know what else to give me.
That night, we headed by to the other famous that is close by - Haeundae Beach. Here we ran into my friend Mel who was in Busan with her sisters who were visiting from the UK. Then we met up with our old co-worker, Ben and some of his friends for dinner. It was another early night for me that day but Chris and I spent some girly time in our room together.
The following day we decided to check out the aquarium at the other beach. Upon our arrival and seeing the insanely long line to get in, we opted for a day laying on the beach with Maynah and Tatiana.

That night we went for dinner with Maynah, Tatiana and their friend Greg. I ordered a BBQ chicken salad and it was the strangest salad complete with Kraft singles cheese and jello! Afterwards, we met up with our friends Scott, Micle and their friend Kylie. We walked along the beach and checked out a nearby, very small carnival and went on a ride.
When we got back to the beach we bought some fireworks to shoot off - it's very common for older Korean women to sell fireworks on the beach as well as lighting them off there.

It was a fun last night! Before heading back to Seoul we had breakfast with a view of the beach. I loved being in Busan and hope to go back again in the summer!
**An update on me being sick.
After seeing the doctor in Busan and finishing the prescription he gave me I was feeling good again. Until two days later after finishing the medication. So the following Saturday I went to see an Ear/Nose/Throat doctor near my apartment. Although none of the doctors did a test to see what it really was, this doctor looked at my throat and told me that it was Tonsillitis. He gave me three days worth of antibiotics (something different than what the Busan doctor gave me) and told me to see him again on Tuesday. I went in on Tuesday and it still wasn't gone (2.5 weeks with it at this point) so he gave me three more days of antibiotics. He told me to take the two days for sure and that the third day was at my discretion. I took the two full days and decided not to take the third day despite feeling doubtful that it wouldn't return. But I am happy to say that it has now been four days off the antibiotics and I'm still feeling good! I was starting to worry that maybe my body wasn't responding well to the medicine or something but I think I am back to full health!
